After six long years, Dana Robinson (from Vermont, USA) is finally making plans to reboot touring in the UK in 2026 where he last toured in 2019 as a duo with his wife Sue (including a gig at the Seagull Theatre in Pakefield). The impact of the pandemic was keenly felt by musicians and others working in the cultural sectors in Vermont.

Sue went back to her career in the water resource management field and Dana has been running programmes and events for a couple of arts organisations at home, whilst gigging part-time. Now this cycle is closing, Dana is looking to be out in the world playing shows more regularly again, returning to his roots as a solo performer.

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Dana relocated to New England and settled in northern Vermont. He built a house on 30 acres near the Canadian border where he founded a popular bakery, café and music venue. Dana launched into full-time touring after the release of his 1994 debut CD, Elemental Lullabye and receiving a request to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Dana is a songwriter, guitarist and old-time fiddler who combines a warm, open-hearted singing style, with wry humour and astute observations about community and place. For over 30 years, Dana has been a fixture on the folk and acoustic music scene in the United States and the UK, playing his unique blend of songwriting with traditional influences.

Dana’s guitar playing combines British fingerstyle and Appalachian flat-picking to create his own distinctive style. His lyrics delve deep into the natural world with wonder, hope and connection earned through his years of travel and exploration across America’s rural landscapes.

Dana’s new recording, The Sound of the Word, is due for an autumn 2026 release. For more information, music and video visit:- https://www.robinsongs.com/
